The jist of the Elf on Shelf is to place your Elf (insert name of your choice, we like Elfis, the King) in differnet locations every night leading up to Christmas, with the kids searching for him in the morning. The reason your Elf wakes up in a new spot every morning is that he travels to the North Pole each night to report to Santa, who's been naughty and who's been nice. Parents. Watch yoself: this includes you.

You can really let your imagination run wild and create elaborate stories. Elf on the Shelf has officially slowed productivity at the Hoot office this winter, but we woudl have to say it was sooo worth it. Hope you enjoyed!
