This Etsy Love is all about eclectic, funky prints found all across Etsy's diverse spectrum.

With Valentine's Day sneaking up, who wouldn't love to receive this adorable little card? I especially love this slightly smudgy, outlined style.

The retro cars in this cute print seem to have their own quirky little personalities. The great, muted color palette really adds to its vintage appeal!

And to round things off, how about a wacky, whimsical mustache printed on a vintage dictionary page? I could certainly picture this as a humorous addition to any home or office in need of a little refreshening whimsy.

So I am FINALLY filling you in on my Holiday Decorating Part 2. I came down with the death flu last week, and I have to say, I could barely croak out a "HELP. ME." over the phone, let alone blog. But that is no excuse:)

So here is a snap shot of our living room and these AWESOME stockings I found on etsy. I realize I'm telling you about them a week before Christmas, and it is too late for you to get them for 2010...but I'm sure there'll be some great etsy deals going on the week after...and I highly recommend picking up these mod and eco friendly stockings. I LOVE THEM. I circled the ones we purchased, for a mere $18 each from RikRak Studio. I even had the dog bone version done in red instead of blue.

ahhh the holidays:) Love KGB.

Halloween!

posted in: Etsy Love

I just love halloween! And last night, Jacob, our nephew, wore the cutest halloween costume I think I've even seen. The even better part is, his parents bought it on Etsy! Similiar to the one seen here from Embroider Me Boutque. It came complete with the feather suit, a beak visor AND the yellow tights. His momma made his little Sesame Street sign from scratch! Too freakin cute...not to mention this bad @#$ remix of the Sesame Street theme song, this is definitely going onto my ipod. Love KGB.

This Etsy Love post is not about one shop, but about some of my favorite bags I've spotted, like these super fun and colorful snap clutches from Mod Dot Textiles:

And this cute, stripy bag from Marbled:

Here's an eco-friendly little purse from Unique Hand Bags:

And perhaps my favorite item featured in this post...

SO MANY cute things!

This a very special Etsy Love blog posting because I actually bought what I L O V E D this time.

Studio Jota specializes in pendant lamps...and if you've read any of my ongoing posts about pendant lamps...I'm obsessed. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one that was affordable, and cool. They were cool and expensive, or nasty and cheap. Until I stumbled on Dawn and her etsy shop. After I emailed with Dawn about customizing a 14" drum shade for only $69(!!) I was then on the lookout for cool fabric. I was perusing my friend Megan's blog Re: Design and snatched up one of her chic suggestions. Two weeks later and wala! My amazing drum shade was in hand. It was even more perfect than I could have imagined, and it definitely completes the room. Thanks to the handy hubs for putting it up so quickly...one of the most painless design projects ever!

I LOVE these quirky acrylics from Michael Van. I can picture them perfectly in a funky, modern loft. This charming duck's name is Popeye, the artist's pet... how adorable is that? Just look at his little feet!

I first stumbled on Alberto Cerriteno when I found the Terrible Yellow Eyes exhibit. I instantly fell in love with the illustrations he did for the show, based on Maurice Sendak's beloved Where the Wild Things Are. I e mailed him to see if he was selling those pieces on etsy, and he wasn't. (Some lucky duck bought them at the exhibit I believe)

But the other prints and works of art he DOES have for sale on etsy are AMAZING! I can imagine doing a child's room with a series of his prints...imagine the dreams they would have while drifting off to these creative scenes. They are so fantastical, colorful...and so unique. Alberto has a great blog too...which I will continue to follow!

I L O V E this etsy artist out of Japan, Pata Pri. Her graphic dish towels would make the most mundane kitchen accessory a work of art. I also love how they are super large and made out of special material to make drying easier. Not that this will help me get the dishes done :)

And adorable packaging to boot!
